Heirloom paper goods crafted for your love story
Based in Westbrook, Maine, Written in Pine creates bespoke wedding stationery inspired by quiet New England romance, rocky coastlines, and evergreen forests. For intimate weddings, micro celebrations, and elopements, we translate your personal journey into tangible keepsakes worth holding onto forever.
Our custom design process
From your initial vision to the tactile beauty of hand-assembled suites, we guide you through an intentional, collaborative design journey to bring your paper goods to life.
1. Consultation and proposal
We begin with a complimentary conversation to explore your story, aesthetic, and needs. Following this, you will receive a custom proposal detailing timeline, recommended pieces, and pricing.
2. Concept and proofs
After completing your design questionnaire, we craft bespoke concepts featuring curated typography, custom palettes, and artwork. You review digital proofs with room for revisions until every detail is right.
3. Artisan production
With final approval in place, we oversee printing, finishing, assembly, and meticulous quality control. Each suite is carefully packaged and safely delivered to your doorstep.
Artisan touches and bespoke embellishments
We enrich your stationery with tactile details that celebrate your venue, season, and atmosphere. Choose from custom venue illustrations, hand-drawn botanicals, personalized monograms, custom illustrated maps, wax seals, delicate vellum wraps, raw-edge silk ribbons, envelope liners, deckled edges, and vintage-inspired postage curation.
Is custom design right for you?
While our ready-made suites suit couples in love with an existing collection, full custom design is created for couples seeking an unmistakable, narrative-rich paper story. It is especially meaningful for elopements and micro weddings where every element is observed and cherished, or for celebrations set in distinct coastal, mountain, or woodland venues requiring original artwork and heirloom paper stock.
Timeline and getting started
Because every custom piece involves thoughtful design and artisan production, we recommend reserving your date 6 to 9 months before your celebration. Save-the-dates may require earlier booking, while day-of stationery goods can often be scheduled on shorter timelines. You do not need every detail finalized before reaching out—your love story is all we need to begin.
